Tool Frontman Maynard James Keenan Reveals His Favorite Tool

During a recent appearance on Bert Kreischer’s Bertcast podcast, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan was asked what his favorite tool is by the comedian’s daughter. Keenan laughed it off at first, but then had a very specific response for her. “A battery-operated pneumatic nail gun,” answered the singer, before adding a sound effect to emphasize his response.  “I remember when it was like this canister and it would clog up and get all f**ked up. The newer ones, you can charge the battery, and you can get some s**t done,” Keenan added. Later in the interview, Kreischer tried to explain the difference between Tool and A Perfect Circle “I feel like Tool was more heavy, more like blue, darker blue and black, whereas A Perfect Circle seemed like more purple and yellow. Does that make sense?” Keenen joked, “Do you smoke a lot of marijuana?” before adding, “The difference between those bands is the wig.” (Consequence of Sound)
