Tom Morello Will Play With Tool’s Adam Jones And Billy Corgan For First Time At Black Sabbath’s Final Show

In a new interview with Chicago radio station WBEZ, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello expressed that he is honored at being named the musical director for Black Sabbath‘s final show on July 5. This historic event will feature the classic Sabbath lineup performing together for the first time in two decades, accompanied by a lineup Morello helped assemble, including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and more. “Heavy metal is the music that made me love music, and Black Sabbath is the band that invented heavy metal,” Morello said. “So, when Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne asked me to be the musical director of what’s going to be the last Black Sabbath show, I was honored to do that.” Morello also confirmed he will participate in the show, including a special set with his former Chicago-area high school bandmate, Tool’s Adam Jones, and Billy Corgan, who grew up nearby them. “The three of us are going to play together for the first time ever at the show,” Morello revealed.
