Ringo Starr Confirms Rumor That His First Time Smoking Weed Was With Bob Dylan

On an appearance on the January 28 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ringo Starr was asked about the legend that he smoked weed for the very first time with Bob Dylan. “Yeah,” Starr confirmed, before clarifying that Dylan himself “didn’t personally hand it to me, he had a friend of his in the room who actually handed it to me.” “Did you love that experience?” Kimmel asked the 84-year-old former Beatle. “Loved it,” Ringo enthused. Starr just released a country album titled, Look Up, his first record in five years, and the rock legend has fully embraced his recent country turn. Ringo filmed a concert special at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium that will air later this year on Paramount+, and will also perform at the Grand Ole Opry next month. Meanwhile, The Beatles are nominated for two Grammys for their “final” song, “Now and Then,” at Sunday’s award show. (People)
