Heart’s Ann Wilson In Wheelchair During Performance Because Of Elbow Injury, Not Cancer

Heart launched their Royal Flush Tour on Friday (February 28), and singer Ann Wilson has been performing their initial shows from a wheelchair. In the latest episode of the After Dinner Thinks With Ann Wilson podcast, the vocalist clarified that she is not in a wheelchair due to her recent cancer battle. “I think some people thought that I was in a wheelchair because of cancer, which I just kicked its a** and I’m nice and clear now,” explained Wilson. “It’s about me being a klutz and missing a step and falling into a parking lot and busting my elbow in three places. I don’t have the use of my left arm right now. So it’s hard to navigate when you just have one hand and you don’t have the same balance.” Heart’s ongoing Royal Flush Tour finishes up on April 16 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, and will be followed by a just-announced run of shows dubbed, An Evening with Heart, which kicks off on May 31 and will feature the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers playing two sets each night with no opening act.
