Amy Lee Reveals That Evanescence Is Hard At Work On Their New Record

Amy Lee of Evanescence made an appearance on Loudwire Nights on Tuesday (March 25) to discuss the band’s latest single, “Afterlife,” which is featured in the upcoming Netflix animated series, Devil May Cry. During the interview, the singer shared the exciting news that Evanescence is currently working on their new record, following the band’s non-stop touring schedule that has kept them on the road since 2021’s The Bitter Truth. “Finally I was just like, “Okay, look, we have to create some new stuff,’” Lee said, a move that led to the recording of “Afterlife” and other new material. “I’m very excited about ‘Afterlife,’ it was our first time to get back in the studio recording since The Bitter Truth. Super fun, super grateful for the opportunity,” Lee said. “We are happily, deeply in the creative process on the new album and a couple of other side things like this.” (Loudwire)
