Flogging Molly’s Dave King Suffered Brain Hemorrhage Earlier This Year And Spent Two Weeks In A Coma

On January 24, Flogging Molly frontman Dave King suffered a brain hemorrhage, and subsequently underwent two surgeries to save his life, which resulted in the musician spending two weeks in a coma. King’s wife and bandmate, Bridget Regan, provided an update on his health status on Flogging Molly’s Instagram page on Monday (March 17).  “I now feel confident we are on the other side of this,” Regan shared. She went on to reveal that King “is now entering into the next phase of his recovery and wants nothing more than to play music again,” while admitting that “the road ahead is uncertain.” Regan expressed gratitude towards the medical team “for saving my husband’s life,” while thanking friends, family, and fans for their support. Due to King’s medical crisis, Flogging Molly was forced to cancel their appearance on the Salty Dog Cruise festival as well as their 2025 headlining tour, which was set to begin on February 24.
