Kimberly Burch, Faster Pussycat Singer Taime Downe’s Fiancée, Dies After Falling Overboard On ’80s Cruise

Kimberly Burch, realtor and fiancée of Faster Pussycat singer Taime Downe, tragically passed away after going overboard on an ’80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise. Her family announced the heartbreaking news with a post on Facebook on Tuesday (March 4). “It is with broken hearts that we share the sad news that Kimberly Burch has passed away,” reads the post. “She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. We ask for prayers during this time for our family as we try to wrap our minds around this heartbreaking tragedy.” Burch had posted a selfie with Downe on the cruise just a day before the incident, which occurred 20 miles from Freeport, Bahamas. Royal Caribbean initiated a search and rescue effort in conjunction with local authorities, and they are providing support to the family. The U.S. Coast Guard also launched a search for her body. The ’80s cruise, featuring music acts like Squeeze, Adam Ant, and Tiffany, set sail on March 2nd and will conclude on March 9th. Faster Pussycat, led by Downe, was among the lineup of performing artists. (Variety)
