Carlos Santana Postpones Vegas Residency Due To Broken Finger From A Fall

Carlos Santana recently suffered a broken finger after an accidental fall at his vacation home in Hawaii. As a result of the injury, the legendary guitarist’s upcoming residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas has been postponed. Santana’s eight-show residency was scheduled to begin on January 22, and continue through February 2. In a statement from Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management, he revealed that Santana won’t be able to play guitar for the next month and half. “I am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai,” Vrionis states. “He took a hard fall, and he broke his little finger on his left hand. He had to have pins inserted in the finger. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to play guitar for approximately six weeks. Doctors do say that he will recuperate fully.” No makeup dates have been announced as of yet. (Consequence of Sound)
