Oasis Plans To Revoke Over 50,000 UK Tour Tickets Purchased On Resale Sites

The BBC reported on Tuesday (October 29) that more than 50,000 Oasis UK tour tickets that were sold on secondary platforms will be canceled. Oasis’ promoters, Live Nation and SJM, have announced that all voided tickets will eventually be made available for sale again at face value through Ticketmaster. The ticket sales for Oasis’ reunion tour left fans filled with frustration and anger, as high demand caused issues with the Ticketmaster website while their dynamic pricing model resulted in fans paying inflated prices up to 5-times the original price. 1.4 million tickets went on sale in August after Oasis announced their reunion tour, and within hours, thousands of tickets were already appearing on resale sites at premium prices. Live Nation and SJM shared with the BBC that only 4% of total tickets sold, amounting to around 50,000 tickets, ended up on resale sites. The process of voiding out the resold tickets is set to begin soon. (Deadline)
