Rev Charles Boykin of Tallahassee, Florida organized the burning of Elton John and Rolling Stones records, claiming they were sinful. Boykin was reacting to the results of a survey that said people who listened to those songs:
Didn’t go to church frequently
Were more likely to have un-wed sex
Had problems keeping their bills paid up

Un-wed sex is the winner here. The pastor had read a poll that said 984 of the 1,000 local unmarried mothers had sex when listening to rock music.
